Information about Postgraduate study
University of Otago offers an academically challenging and supportive environment for postgraduate research students. Research excellence is a feature of the university as a whole, and the enormous volume of ground-breaking research undertaken at Otago can only happen when supported by an equally large number of graduate students, working with our senior researchers in pursuit of new knowledge.
The university has a central Graduate Research Services office, which aims to provide policy direction for the university on matters related to postgraduate study, and also aims to provide support for graduate students. Contact details for the office can be found at this address http://www.otago.ac.nz/postgraduate/otago004145.html
Within the Division of Sciences, we recognise that choosing a place to pursue your postgraduate studies will be driven by a number of practical considerations : do we have the equipment you need to do your research? Are our resarchers leaders in the field you've chosen? What kind of financial support is available to you at Otago? The links below take you to pages that answer those questions.
